The Big Rigg Room

Alright internet...I have updated and final pics of the little man's room.

Brace yourselves...it is one sweet pad!

Changing table...with a nice view of the diaper bag and the boppy.

a shelf right by the door with some of my dad's old toy cars from when he was a kid.

Crib and some cool signage

shelves by the closet

a view from the entrance of the room

His very organized closet

And a pic of the captain after a great dinner of Chinese takeout. His fortune was one for the record books, so I snapped a shot. It says "many people will be drawn to you for your wisdom and insights." I loved it!

Not a thing happening in the "birthing a baby" department...still very much with child. I am praying I hold out til Friday for my doc.

I know many of you are praying for us, we appreciate it so much. If I could, I would also ask for prayer for us and our families emotionally. I do not know how hard or emotional it is going to be for us. Excitement is high, anticipation is high, but there are also many unknowns about how we will all react. It is going to be bitter sweet to welcome such a loved and anticipated child into the world while we all still miss his sister so much. Thanks again for all of your love, prayers and support.

Oh and while you are already praying...pain free is a great phrase to use once or twice!

His room is SOOOO cute! I will be sending extra prayers on your behalf over the next few days. Also, I made a comment on your last post and said that I hoped holding a new baby will help soften your grief. I have worried about it ever since!!! I know that this new baby will NOT erase your grief over Caden and I have worried that that was how my comment came across. I hope you didn't take it that way. If you did I am SO sorry. I just hope that in the moments when you are missing her so badly, that having a baby to cuddle will give you comfort and help you feel closer to the baby that you can't hold for awhile. Anyway, I'm sure I'm saying it all wrong so I'll just leave it at...Congratulations! I am so excited to "meet" Baby Rigg and I will be praying for you! :)

I know I do not know you well- your blog has touched my heart and encouraged me. We lost a little one 3 months before Quin was conceived. I cried so hard when he was born (and for months after! hey- I still do!) because I missed Evan so badly- I felt guilt over rejoicing for a healthy baby in Quin and knowing if we'd have Evan that Quin wouldnt be here... My prayers have been and will continue to be with you as I know from a small place that grief and joy can and do go hand in hand. We will always be missing a piece of our family here on earth, but God has truly blessed us with so much joy in that grief. Blessed be the name of our God! =-)

Will you come decorate my house? Seriously, I love your style and the way you make it all look so easy.

We are/will be praying for you and your families. When I heard you were pregnant, my first thought was I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to grieve and rejoice all at the same time. As I prayed for you I was reminded that God experienced much the same kind of impossible joy/grief in the death of His Son and the restoration of relationship between mankind and their creator. That gave me such comfort that I was speaking to a God who "got it." Over and over the verse from Hebrews that speaks about our High Priest being able to sympathize with us has been in my heart as I pray for you. He's been there and He is there with you now.

Praying for His peace to overwhelm you and yours.

It just occurred to me that I shouldn't be one of the people breathing down your neck for pictures. Smack me over the head next time you see me and tell me I can actually come over and see it in person. What a concept!

Love the room!

Praying for a pain free delivery and that emotionally you and the family can enjoy the birth of Rigg, while still remembering the life and love you have for Caden, letting it all intertwine together.

Congrats!

Cari,
Rigg's room rocks. What an awesome boy room. And can I just say that the closet is AMAZING! Good job on organizing! I am inspired and glad you were able to post pics. I will continue to pray for you and all the emotions that come with this new arrival. And I gotcha on the "pain free" deal. Peace to you girlfriend. Have a wonderful day/Father's Day weekend. Love the fortune cookie. -jen

I love his room--especially the sign with his name above the changing table. Praying for you both as you welcome this sweet new baby while cherishing the memories of your precious daughter. And of course, I can't wait to see pictures of Rigg!

i don´t want to burst andrew´s bubble...but I believe I have received that same fortune one time while in indy...so either andy and i are in a special category....or they recycle their fortunes...I will chose to believe the first. Biting my nails since I´m hoping (for your sake) that the baby has arrived...and checking my email awaiting the news....hugs
