I am pleading, but the Captain is not...

We have quite a few heavy things on our plate lately. I am a tish bit overwhelmed in general. However, the actual feeling of drowning in a sea of problems and situations comes and goes.
Most importantly, we have our health and each other...so we are fine. Andy is not going to lose his job... Praise Jesus! (this was one thing I was hesitant to post about for a few reasons...but God answers prayer whether I blog about it or not...whew!)

But today, I would like to fill you in on some much need prayer requests. I have mentioned before about the Captain's wrongful arrest and this absurd charge and court case hanging over our head. I have told you all the details I know, all the while laughing and making jokes...because that is who I am... and really, life is funny. But I feel I have done a slight disservice to Andy and our situation... because it is very serious.
There seems to be a video from the Pharmacy... our lawyer has yet to receive it. We  have been praying specifically for a speedy delivery of the tape, as well as a clear picture. Also that the video provides a clear view of the "real bad guy" and without a doubt proves it is not Andy. We aer also praying that this will gets cleared up before it goes to trial (please Lord, make it so.) I am also not really sure where we are going to come up with cash to pay a lawyer and court fees, but I know God will provide....
Last week the Captain received some info from his lawyer. The Prosecution sent a plea bargain (really, if it was not so serious, I would be caught up in a fit of giggles...because, really?)  It stated that is Andy was to plead guilty he would only get a year and a half sentence!!!! However, it would be capped at 90 days with the rest of it on parole...  As I sat and read the words, I was stunned into silence (a huge rarity in and of itself.)
Of course, innocence does not cave, so we, that is to say, Andy, will not be accepting this so-called bargain.

I share all of this not so you can be outraged (although Righteous anger is acceptable) but to plead with you to be in prayer for my husband and this situation. We know firsthand how powerful prayer is.

I also wanted to ask another favor... If you have the time, please leave a comment of
encouragement or prayer for the Captain...Think how wonderful it would be if I could open the comments and show him dozens of people who care enough to lift him up in prayer! I know it would be a source of great strength and encouragement for him...and me. :)

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Praying that this unfortunate mess is quickly resolved. In this day and age it is hard to believe a mistake can go this far.

Lord we come before you now knowing that Your plan is in action. We ask for your intervention. I pray that you would make this case proceed quickly and that Andy can be cleared quickly. I agree with Andy & Cari asking you to provide a clear picture to the prosecutors that this Andy is innocent. That you would wipe his slate clean again.

Above all, I pray that you would be glorified through everything. Every hindrance, every discouragement, every wait. Lord we ask you to come and show yourself to all who are involved in the case. That Andy and Cari can be evidence of you to the people around them in this situation.

We thank you for your righteousness and your ability to right wrongs.

This is seriously a strange and yes, nerve-wracking, situation. But I am praying for God's justice and his peace for you guys. ALL things work together for good. It definitely doesn't always make sense but God is always good. Hang in there!

Father we ask that you watch over this precious family and keep them ever close to You. I pray that the truth be obvious, and that You protect and provide for them no matter what happens. May You keep our eyes open to You and how You are working in the midst of a very difficult situation. Thank you for Cari, Andy, Caden and Rigg and their lasting relationship with You. Lord, be near!

Wow. What a very messed up situation! I hope they get that video and it CLEARLY shows that it is not Andy. YOu have such a beautiful family and have been through so much so i'm positive you will make it throught this as well.
Andy, i'm sorry that you have to endure this. I am praying for speedy justice and strength for you and Cari. You have proven how strong you are so just hang in there.

thinking of you. praying for you. hoping all gets resolved quickly. can you send your lawyer's fees to the real criminal once he is found? like garnishing his wages/account? it is ludicious this should waste so much of your time, sanity and money. will hold you close in prayer. be strong.

You're right. It seems so ridiculous, that it can't possibly be real. I will be praying for the truth to be revealed, for Captain's reputation to be upheld and for God, and your family, to ultimately be honored in all of this. I cannot help but wonder whom you will meet someday in Heaven that will be there because of your actions and testimony through this.

I cannot believe what you are having to deal with all of this mess with the wrongful arrest! It is terrible. But, I do believe something. God is good all the time. He will make things right, set you free, and make your name clear and good as we all know it is!! Keep your head up!! Things will be right soon!

"Captain Andypants" because I can. I know that you have since the time you came to Christ, been devoted to being above reproach. That has been upheld through many situations and I know will still stand. Your character was what impressed me when you started pursuing Cari. That impression has never changed. I love you and I know that this situation will be no different. May God give you strength and encouragement.

Captain... (can I call you Captain?) From what I know about you... you are an amazing Godly man. Your tender heart and love for your family is so awesome. Thank you for being such a Godly example to so many other men. I was praying and asking God to give me a verse. Here it is... Psalm 7:9 - Arise O Lord, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies... O righteous God, who searches mides and hearts.. brting and end to the violence of the wicket and make the righteous secure. My shield is God the Most High who saves the upright in heart. God is a righteous judge.
I'm totally into Braveheart and GI Jane and warrior type movies. I picture God just battling this out for you Captain. Let Him go before you. Let him work out the details.. for His glory. Cause' you know your incredible wife will proclaim God's good work in all of this from the rooftops. I am believing that for you today. Hi, I have prayed for your family this past 18 months. I heard about your blog from another blog and I can tell that you are good honest people. I cannot even imagine what are your going thru now or in the past. Once all of this works out and it will then you need to have the pharmacy pay your legal bills, or the city who actually arrested your husband. My husband had eye surgery last year and was given vicodin. He never took it but one day a month later the doctor called and asked why my husband's pharmacy had called three times in the past month for a refill. I came to the conclusion that either somebody in the pharmacy or someoneelse was trying to get this drug. So I told the doctor we still had the original bottle full and to not approve any refills. I then went to the pharmacy and did the same thing. Also ten years ago I had cancer and got treatment for 8 months. The next year somebody stole my identity. I found out from the police alot of times hospital workers get access to our private information and sell it. So while you have this mess going on you might want to run a free credit report and make sure there is no identity theft involved. Good luck and by the way your family is darling.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments. Philippians 4:6,7-Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Chris Jesus. I pray that verse daily and I am encouraged to know that God is in control of all things even though this case is beginning to get a bit old and annoying knowing that I'm completely innocent of these charges. I told Cari and a few others that while I was in jail that day when I was arrested what biblical characters were innocent and were still arrested. I could think of several as in Daniel, Joseph, Paul, Barnabas and even Christ himself. I don't know what God is trying to teach me throughout this process but I wish He would speed up the process a bit. LOL! Once again I appreciate the comments and uplifting prayers. I also want to thank my lovely wife for posting this blog. Love You babe!---The Captain.
